Product Information
Semiconductor Materials
High Purity Red Phosphorus
High-purity phosphine gas is thermally decomposed to obtain high-purity yellow phosphorus (white phosphorus), which is then thermally converted to produce high-purity red phosphorus with a purity level of 99.9999%. Applications can be broadly divided into doping materials for converting Si into n-type semiconductors, and raw materials for phosphorus-based compound semiconductors, including GaP and InP. In particular, InP semiconductors are incorporated into optical transceivers (devices that mutually convert electrical and optical signals) and have become an essential material for optical communications between data centers, the expansion of which has accelerated with the recent advancement of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
